Enrolments are completed on an annual basis, and once finalised, they guarantee your spot in the class(es) for the entire school year. Current students are offered Priority enrolment each year to select their preferred days and times, before enrolments are opened to the public. Student enrolments automatically roll over between Terms 2, 3, and 4, so there's no need to re-enrol!
Any changes to enrolment contact details or cancellations to enrolments need to be in writing to info@missfishersballet.com.au If a student will not be continuing next term, please notify us in writing with at least 4 weeks' notice. Otherwise, the next full-term fees will apply.
We aim to place students in classes where they'll be challenged and thrive and to ensure the best experience for everyone. Placements are based on our assessment of their ability, age, and social development. Students enrolling late in the calendar year, will be assessed before progressing to the next level.
Please let our staff know about any medical or other conditions that might be important for us to be aware of, including allergies, physical conditions, or mental health concerns.
We encourage all students enrolled in the Royal Academy of Dance program from Primary upwards to attend two ballet classes per week to achieve their personal best and the required study hours for their level from the RAD Syllabus.
To enrol into Extension Classes, students must be enrolled in a minimum of two ballet classes.
RAD Exam/Award participation, competition private lessons and performance groups are invitation only.
Students representing Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy with eisteddfod/competition solos must participate in all dance classes offered for their level.
It is the sole discretion of Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy to cancel enrolment if it is no longer appropriate to provide services to you.
Students may not undertake dance training at another dance school in any dance style offered by Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy whilst enrolled at Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy.
Fees are charged per term. Terms follow NSW Department of Education school terms.
Term fees are due within 7 days of the invoice and due before term starts to secure your child's spot. Or within 7 days from the invoice date for new students or updated enrolments.
Pro-rata term fees will only be applied to new students commencing mid-term.
An annual registration fee of $40 per student applies to all students (new and continuing). This fee is due at the time of enrolment and resets each calendar year. This fee covers administration costs, insurance costs and music licencing costs per student.
A 10% Sibling Discount is applied to the second and subsequent siblings.
Class discounts per student are applied to the second and subsequent classes enrolled in.
One $20 trial lesson is allowed for new students before enrolling for the full term.
Active Kids AND Creative Kids Rebate Vouchers are accepted at Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy. All vouchers need to be submitted to info@missfishersballet.com.au prior to start of term.
Term fees do not cover the cost of costumes, accessories, or annual performance fees. They also do not include private lessons, exam coaching classes, holiday program classes, exam and competition fees, or any uniform items. Any extra costs as mentioned will be invoiced separately and are due by the date listed on the invoice.
Reminders will be sent out accordingly to late and overdue payments. If fees continue to remain outstanding after 14 days of due date, a late fee of $10 per week to cover administration costs will be automatically added to your account until it is settled.
There are no credits, refunds or make up classes for missed lessons during the term.
If a class is cancelled by the Academy, a rescheduled class shall be offered by the Academy to the student. If the student is unable to attend the rescheduled class, there are no refunds or credits.
Fees are strictly non-refundable. Fees cannot be transferred to another family member.
Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy reserves the right to amend or cancel classes in the timetable whenever necessary. There are no classes on public holidays.
Students are expected to wear the full uniform to all classes and are purchased from Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy. From Pre-Primary onwards, female students are required to wear their hair in a neat ballet bun, male students are to also have their hair brushed neatly. No watches or necklaces to be worn in class.
All classes are closed. This is to enable no distractions, student's concentration and focus during class. Parents are expected to drop off and pick up their child after class.
Parents can watch their child on Open Days at the end of Term 2 and watch their child in the end of year performance on 14 December 2025, as well as participating with their child in Dance with Mum and Dance with Dad events.
Children not participating in class, including siblings, always remain under parent/guardian supervision. Children and parents are expected to keep noise levels to a minimum whilst other classes are in progress. Thank you!
Please let us know via SMS or email on the day if your child will be absent from class due to illness.
If your child is sick and unable to participate in the class, parents will be contacted to collect.
Please pack bottled water only for your child, there are to be no sugary drinks or food allowed in class.
Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy accepts no responsibility if a student has left personal items in the studio. If you leave personal items, you do so at your own risk. We will not email or SMS parents in relation to lost property.
Lost property can be found in the reception. Lost property will be kept at the studio until the end of each term. It will then be donated to charity.
All uniform and personal items are to be labelled with the student's name.
Students join classes at their own risk and will be participating in dance classes under safe dance practice and normal risks associated with dance/movement. We are not liable for any injuries that may happen during class or while at the studio.
Dance classes often involve some physical contact between students and teachers to help with placement and technique correction, and it will always be done in a respectful and appropriate way. All RAD classes are taught by an RAD qualified teacher. All teachers and staff are fully cleared with NSW Working with Children checks. All teachers and assistants have teaching degrees and credentials.
We believe in positive teaching methods in a joyful and nurturing environment, however at times constructive criticism is needed for the students to progress with their technique.
Students are to be collected by a parent/guardian at the end of all lessons. Should a student be collected by anyone other than a parent/guardian, please advise via text or email.
When students leave the premises, they are no longer under the care of Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy.
While other dancers are in class, we ask that parents/guardians take responsibility for their children (and any siblings) while not in class. Children are expected not to run around in reception for safety reasons.

Phone calls or text messages before or after office hours or during class times may not be answered; however, staff will endeavour to return calls within 24-48 hours. Staff will endeavour to answer emails within 48 hours (excluding weekends).
All choreography and class work taught to students remains the intellectual property of Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy and may not be used without permission of the Principal and Artistic Director.

All footage provided to students for practice purposes remains the property of the studio and should not be shared externally without prior permission. Thank you for your understanding!
